Tony Laborde, DMSc, PA-C, is a board-certified Physician Associate with a clinical background spanning Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and cardiovascular medicine. He provides comprehensive, patient-centered care for his patients, integrating preventive and primary care with a strong focus on cardiovascular health. His clinical interests include hypertension, diabetes, hyperlipidemia, metabolic health, coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure, cardiac arrhythmias, chest pain, and other acute and chronic medical conditions affecting long-term health.
Tony Laborde earned his Master of Science in Physician Assistant Studies from SUNY Downstate Health Sciences University and later completed his Doctor of Medical Science (DMSc) degree at the University of Lynchburg, where his doctoral training emphasized Advanced Clinical Practice, Healthcare Administration & Management, and Executive Leadership.
As an advocate for evidence-based medicine and preventive healthcare, Dr. Laborde has authored and published research examining the effects of intermittent fasting on metabolic syndrome, reflecting his interest in the relationship between metabolic and cardiovascular health.
Dr. Laborde believes that exceptional care begins with listening, education, and shared decision-making, ensuring patients feel informed and actively involved in their health. He maintains active membership in the American Academy of Physician Associates (AAPA) and is fluent in English and Haitian Creole, with conversational proficiency in French.
